Frequently Asked Questions

I currently have an offer on more than one course, how do I let you know which course I wish to enrol onto and cancel the others?

That is not a problem. We can get the other applications withdrawn. Please follow the link and complete the withdrawal form and this will be actioned for you in the next 2-3 working days.

I would like to enrol onto a part-time course, how do I do this? OR I wish to pay for my course, how do I do this?

Due to the high level of enquiries surrounding GCSE Results Day we are unable to complete part-time enrolments. Please can you complete our enrolment form and our Customer Contact Team will call you back next week to complete your enrolment.

My GCSE grades are not what I expected, do I still have place with you?

Yes, please do not worry. Contact us on Livechat or call us on 01234 291000 and we will arrange for you to speak to the tutors.

I have changed my mind and do not want to study the course that I have applied for, do I need to re-apply?

That is not a problem, you can register to join the subject presentations on one of our websites, please use this link for Bedford or Shuttleworth events and this link for Tresham or you can use the Livechat option on this page to book a call with a tutor.

You will also need to complete a new application form for this course.

I have been accepted by my first choice and no longer wish to study with you.

That is not a problem.  Please follow the link and complete the withdrawal form and this will be actioned for you in the next 2-3 working days.

I have an offer on a course, but now need to apply for financial helps to support travel, kit and uniform costs.

That’s not a problem, our financial support applications are now open, and you will need to apply through the relevant college website, bedford.ac.uk, www.tresham.ac.uk or www.shuttleworth.ac.uk. If you find you need support in doing this you can use the Livechat feature on the website to ask for help from Student Services.

I haven’t applied but didn’t get the grades to study at my first choice, will I be able to study with you or is it too late?

I didn’t achieve 4’s and above in my English and/or Maths GCSE, am I able to resist alongside my course?

Yes, if you do not currently hold 4’s in these subjects then you will automatically be enrolled to sit English & Maths qualifications as part of your full-time programme.

I have been told that I need to upload my results today. How do I this?

If you haven’t already, then you will need to follow the instructions on your enrolment letter to upload your results which will allow us to enrol you onto your course. After your enrolment, your tutor will be in touch before your start date to confirm timetabling.

What will happen now that I have my results?

Can I still accept my place?

Yes, it is not too late to accept your offer. You just need to log into your portal, open your offer letter and click on Respond. If you have any problems with this please contact the Customer Contact Team on 01234 291000 or contact us on Livechat.

I am feeling very anxious and nervous about starting college, how can you help?

Any student with worries or concerns can seek advice from their Personal Achievement Tutor or Student Services. Most full-time students are assigned a professionally-trained Personal Achievement Tutor from Student Services, and you will meet them at the beginning of your course. If you wish to speak to someone prior to starting college please contact Student Services on Livechat or call 01234 291000 and ask to speak to Student Services.

When will I know when to start and the days and times of my course?

Your tutors will be in touch with you during the week commencing the 7th September 2020.

Can I resit my GCSE English and/or Maths exams this year?

Yes, if you would like to re-sit your GCSE Maths and/or English exams in the Autumn, you can arrange this when you start.
