Plumbing Level 2

Ian Dunnington

I decided to come back into education after fitting a kitchen for a family member. I was asked to install the taps and realised that, having no existing knowledge of plumbing, I wanted to learn.

I love learning new things and there is a lot of science behind plumbing that I never knew existed, so it’s been a great experience. I come into College four days a week and, although it has been daunting getting back into education, my tutors are all very understanding. We do have to complete work experience as part of the course, and I have completed a short spell with a local Plumber who I shadowed for a couple of weeks.

My aim is to become a qualified Plumber and I’m sure the College will support me to achieve this.
